Akim of West Kazakhstan Region, Nariman Turegaliyev, met with Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee Xu Kunlin. The parties noted the high level of strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, which continues to develop under the leadership of the two countries’ leaders. Today, interregional ties, including trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian interactions, have reached a new qualitative level.

Xu Kunlin expressed gratitude to the Akim for the invitation and emphasized that contacts initiated last year in Jiangsu Province are already yielding tangible results. He expressed confidence that the partnership will continue to develop dynamically and on a long-term basis.

In turn, Nariman Turegaliyev noted that the region is actively working to attract direct foreign investments and enhance investment attractiveness in accordance with the directives of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“Today, the strategic partnership between West Kazakhstan Region and the People’s Republic of China has significantly strengthened. According to the results of 2025, the volume of foreign trade turnover between our region and China amounted to USD 175 million, which is 1.5 times higher than the 2024 figure. When you held the position of Chairman of the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, we held a meeting and reached a number of agreements in several areas. Concrete projects are already being implemented within the framework of these agreements. I am confident that stable ties with Liaoning Province will be further strengthened in the near future,” emphasized the Akim of the region.

The head of the region also presented information on the logistic potential of West Kazakhstan Region and the favorable conditions created for investors, confirming readiness for the implementation of joint projects.
