The Astana AI Film Festival (AAIFF 2026) was officially presented in Beijing at Shougang Park, together with the Kazakhstan-China Forum on Innovation in AI Film and Television. The event was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in China.<\/p>\n

The gathering brought together representatives of major technology companies, film studios, universities, research institutions, investment organizations, AI developers, and film industry professionals from Kazakhstan and China.<\/p>\n

One of the main outcomes of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Astana AI Film Festival Foundation and Beijing Zhongguancun Tongli Technology Service Co., Ltd. The document sets out a framework for joint projects in AI filmmaking, AIGC technologies, science fiction content, investment, and international distribution. Under the memorandum, the Chinese company will act as the official partner of the Astana AI Film Festival in the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>\n

During the presentation, the organizers introduced the international vision of the Astana AI Film Festival, which will be held in Astana from October 1 to 3 as part of Astana AI Week.<\/p>\n

Following the presentation, the Kazakhstan-China Forum on Innovation in AI Film and Television took place. During expert sessions and panel discussions, representatives of leading film studios, technology companies, and research institutions discussed the use of artificial intelligence in film production, the development of AI-generated content, changes in creative workflows, models for international cooperation, and opportunities to bring joint productions to global audiences.<\/p>\n

The discussions included executives and representatives from PixVerse AI, the AI Research Institute of China Film Group, Bauhinia Films (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., the Zhongguancun Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center, and other leading Chinese companies advancing innovation in the AIGC sector.<\/p>\n

At the end of the forum, participants confirmed their intention to develop a long-term partnership between Kazakhstan and China in artificial intelligence, the film industry, and digital creative technologies.<\/p>\n

The Astana AI Film Festival will be held in Astana in autumn 2026 and is expected to become one of the world\u2019s major international events dedicated to AI-powered filmmaking.
