Kazakhstan and Türkiye Open a New Chapter in Nuclear Cooperation: AIDA and NIATR Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

The Atomic Industry Development Association (AIDA) of Kazakhstan and the Nuclear Industry Association of Türkiye (NIATR) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, opening a new chapter in nuclear cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.

The memorandum aims to strengthen partnership between the nuclear industry organizations of Kazakhstan and Türkiye, enhance international cooperation, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and promote joint initiatives in the field of nuclear energy.

Bakhytzhan Kadyrbayev, Executive Director of the Atomic Industry Development Association (AIDA), stated:

“Kazakhstan and Türkiye are countries with significant potential in the field of nuclear energy. The Memorandum of Cooperation signed with NIATR establishes an important framework for technical knowledge transfer, business cooperation, and expert exchange programmes. We see substantial opportunities, particularly in the areas of supply chains, workforce development, and industrial cooperation. We believe this agreement will serve as a solid foundation for long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation between the nuclear industries of our two countries.”
